Human Aid Now draagt partners en programma voor Randen van Europa over aan de Haella Stichting.

Human Aid Now werd in 2016 opgericht door Wouter Nientker. Hij was lange tijd actief als vrijwilliger voor kleine vluchtelingenorganisaties in Griekenland en Noord Frankrijk die vluchtelingen ondersteunen. Omdat hij zo geraakt werd door de problematiek van de vluchtelingen en de organisaties die hier iets aan wilden doen, besloot hij, na terugkeer in Nederland zelf een organisatie in het leven te roepen, Human Aid Now.

Human Aid Now specialiseert zich in het ondersteunen van organisaties die kleine projecten opzetten aan de buitengrenzen van Europa. De projecten richten zich op het\u00a0vasthouden van menselijke waardigheid voor mensen in onmenselijke omstandigheden.\u00a0\u00a0Human Aid Now is ook de organisatie die het voedselproject in Amsterdam co\u00f6rdineert

Inmiddels zijn de organisaties aan de buitengrenzen van Europa van het eerste uur uitgegroeid tot kleine maar zeer relevante NGO’s. In de afgelopen jaren hebben HAELLA en Human Aid Now veel samengewerkt rondom deze organisaties. Onlangs heeft het bestuur van Human Aid Now besloten om hun partners en programma over te dragen aan de Haella Stichting.

Bart Driessen, voorzitter van Human Aid Now zegt daarover: \u201cDe omstandigheden voor vluchtelingen, asielzoekers en migranten langs de randen van Europa worden steeds\u00a0nijpender en voor organisaties die daar hulp verlenen wordt het werk steeds moeilijker. Haella is heel gedreven en goed uitgerust om die organisaties te steunen – beter dan wij ooit zouden kunnen\u201d.

Elise Kant, directeur van de Haella Stichting\u00a0reageert daarop met: \u201cWij zijn heel blij met het vertrouwen dat Human Aid Now in ons stelt. De gezamenlijke reis naar Calais een maand geleden heeft ons wederom gegrond in de urgente noodzaak om de organisaties daar bij te staan, financieel maar ook moreel en strategisch\u201d
